HOMEOPATHY FOR IMPETIGO

Do you have small children? If so, you have probably come across impetigo at some point. Did you know that homeopathy is great for treating impetigo?

Most people see treating skin conditions as trying and strenuous, but I enjoy the process, although it is often difficult and complex.

The end result is often incredible, and alleviating the condition can even be life-changing for the patient!

One of the cases that stands out is a boy called Tom, who had a case of impetigo.

TREATING IMPETIGO WITH HOMEOPATHIC REMEDIES-THE PROCESS

Normally impetigo begins with tiny blisters that break and reveal moist, red skin.

After a few days, it becomes covered with a grainy, golden crust that gradually spreads at the edges. Understandably, this irritated Tom, especially as it was on his face!

His impetigo started with small spots after he returned from the swimming pool,  and they began to spread after he scratched them.

In serious cases, the infection invades a deeper layer of skin and turns into a form of impetigo called ecthyma, which means the blisters become pus-filled bumps with a darker and thicker crust that is often even itchier, not to mention tempting to scratch off!

But Tom’s concern was not the condition progressing but that it was so itchy, and of course, the more he scratched, the more it would spread.

This is a great case to show you because it is also practical in showing the inner workings of homeopathy. Hopefully, this quick, simplified explanation helps to give you an insight into how homeopathy works.

The most common cause of impetigo is bacteria called Staphylococcus aureus and group A streptococcus, and very interestingly, one of the remedies I gave to Tom was….. Staphylococcinum 30 nosode!

He also was prescribed Antimonium crudum 6c and Hepar Sulph 30c to assist in healing.

Amazingly the progression of his case was like a pressing rewind from seeing the infection spread; after the remedies the discharge stopped, the spots dried out, and the itching was alleviated!

Within a couple of weeks, it was as if he had never had impetigo, with anything left on his face but a smile!
